A. Stradling Demi-Hunter

Here is a Demi-Hunter in EXCELLENT CONDITION!! The
single sunk dial has black Roman numerals and looks
great. No hairlines or anything else that I can see. It
has blue spade hour and minute whip hands. There is
corrosion on the minute whip hand. The gilt movement is
signed "A. Stradling, NEWBURY". A. Stradling is listed
as the Watch maker in Baillie's book on Fusee's. All of
the hallmarks are on the inside of the swing out case
and also on the inside of the Demi-Hunter part of the
case. The silver case is also in EXCELLENT CONDITION!!
It has engine turning on both front and back, and the
back has a shield without initials. Mr. Stradling was a
watch maker from 1866 until 1891. This would make a
FABULOUS GIFT!!!! |
