This is an Illinois 18 size, 17 jewel, lever set, open
face, Grade 64 pocket watch with the EXTREMELY SCARCE
A.N. Anderson double sunk dial. It has black Arabic
numbers, black 5 minute markers, and signed in (red) "A.N.
Anderson Minneapolis". Also has blue spade hour and
minute whip hands. The dial does have a chip at the 7
and a couple other small blemishes. It is really RARE to
find one of these dials at all!!! This full plate Nickel
Grade 64 movement is really sharp! It is signed in gold
lettering "A.N. Anderson, Minneapolis 17 Jewels,
Adjusted, Safety Pinion". It has pressed gold jewel
settings and very nicely damaskeened. It comes mounted
in a Silverode SB&B open face case with a locomotive
engraved on the back. A.N. Anderson was probably the
most well known of all the RR Inspector's, and to find a
dial and movement both signed A.N. Anderson is QUITE A
COMBINATION!!!! I also believe this to be ALL
ORIGINAL!!! SN 1448267 Ca. 1900 |
