Here is a very "RARE" combination!! A Hamilton 16 size, 22 jewel, lever set, 4992B Military watch in the original (tub) container. This Hamilton has the black Greenwich Civil Time (G.C.T.) 24 hour dial with white minute, second, and whip hands. The EXCELLENT Hack nickel movement is signed "Hamilton Watch Co. U.S.A., 22 Jewels, U.S. Govt., Adj. Temp and 6 Positions, 4992B, and has the wide stripped damaskeening. It also has all of the Military markings on the back of the case. This TUB case was made for the U. S. Army Air Corp and carries the original identification plaque signed "CASE, CARRYING, WATCH, NAVAGATION U.S. ARMY A.C. GEO. H. ADAMSON, TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN, U.S.A." The watch is mounted in the springs to absorb the vibration of the aircraft. Very RARE in this kind of condition!! SN 4C9712 Ca. 1940's
