Here we have a very nice Rockford 18 size, 17 jewels, Grade 930 C & O Special for your enjoyment!!! There were only 8770 of this model made and I wonder how many had the C & O Special dial. The dial is a double sunk porcelain dial with black Arabic numbers, red five minute markers, and signed ‘C & O Special”. It does have a faint HL at the 11 minute mark. It has a full plate nickel movement marked in black lettering “17 Jewels, Adjusted, C & O Special. It also has very nice damaskeening. It comes mounted in a SB&B Gold-filled B&B Royal Case with a locomotive engraved on the back. The locomotive engraving has some wear to it. This one will make a great carrying watch.
