Alfred Russell Lever Fusee
Item #0227
Here is a BEAUTIFUL Lever Fusee made by Alfred Russell & Co. and it looks great!! It has a single sunk dial with black Roman numerals and silver hands. It is signed "Alfred Russell & Co., 36524". There is a groove worn were the swing out movement hits the stem. I think it shows in the picture of the face. The gilt Lever movement is also signed "Alfred Russell & Co., Makers to the Queen, Liverpool & London, 36524". It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!! The case has all of the marks and I will try to explain them. First there is the Standard Mark for England, the Standing Lion, then there is what I believe is the Mark for Chester, which is three wheat sheaves and a sword. Then there is what looks like our dollar sign only a square S and one line diagonally thru it. There is also what appears to be DR which I believe is the case makers mark. I believe the case to be Silver and in very nice condition. The key is included although it is NOT the original. What a piece of history!!!! The serial number is on the dial and the movement. VERY UNUSUAL!!!
$395.00 (USD - includes standard U.S.P.S. first class shipping and insurance)
